Suitability for Injury Recovery

Hi,
I am looking at a home exercise bike for helping with injury recovery while unable to take part in higher impact activities. I already have a rowing machine (sadly not a concept2) but have been looking at the BikeErg as a potential purchase as I see it as something I can use heavily during my recovery phase and then longer term for cross training when I return to my core focus of athletics and team sports.
I have a couple of concerns about the lowest resistance level of the BikeErg and whether it would be suitable for me and am looking for some feedback as I've seen some people claim it is not suitable for beginners:

- I am not a regular cyclist however prior to injury I did take part in sport 3-5 times a week and could comfortably run for 2-3 hours
- I am recovering from a leg fracture
- My intention is to use strength and conditioning exercises with my rowing machine and an exercise bike to further this and provide cardio
- I will try and do what my physio tells me!
