How to use ErgData and Zwift simultaneously

Is there a way to connect to ergdata and zwift simultaneously? I saw c2jon mention that he was using both at the same time. I can get either one or the other to connect but never both.

The PM5 (and any Bluetooth device) will connect to only one computer at a time, so you can't use the PM with ErgData on your phone and Zwift on your laptop, say.
Now if both apps are on the same device, it will depend on how the Bluetooth connection is made by the device to the app whether they can share the data stream or not. But I do know that you can't have two separate devices connecting to the same BT device at the same time.

Its OK although I haven't become familiar enough with zwift to say an incline of 4 is worth increasing the resistance by 2, but I guess I will find out. Im still in the free trial with zwift but expect to buy a subscription. It is a good way to do a ride in your lounge room .

I found out how to do it!
macbookpro + zwift + ergdata + ergIQ (on my fenix 5x) all connected to the BikeErg
I got an Ant+ (usb2) stick from an old garmin watch, turned off the garmin app on my macbook pro and then connected zwift (via Ant+) to my macbook and added the garmin HR chest strap too.
I connected the ergIQ app on my watch to the PM5 and loaded up the ergdata app on my phone. IT ALL WORKED (almost).
the only thing missing is the distance on the garmin connect app when it syncs but that is an easy manual entry fix.
Lastly, I had heaps of problems with the new PM5 of the BikeErg not connecting to the ergData app. it would crash every time it identified the PM5, but was fine on my PM5 for the rower. I had 3 goes at re-installing the firmware an then bingo, all good to go.
May seem like a lot of silly connections, Im not arguing, but it all works.
Guess the important thing is I can keep a log of my rides but also use zwift to make them more interesting.
Happy days.

I've managed to connect my bikeerg to Zwift and ErgData too now, superb!
ANT+ dongle on Macbook (connects via ANT+ to PM5 and HR belt)
Bluetooth connects to ErgData and HR belt - best of both worlds.
I have noticed a lag on Zwift though so need to test that. Not sure if it's the ANT+ at fault or bike.
