I just ordered the shorter leg. I was told you need the shorter leg and seat post. In US, it costs $135. Shipping is $8.

We got our BikeErg delivered from Amazon yesterday, put it together and my wife is 4'11 like the OP. I called customer service this morning and was also told I needed both the shorter leg + seat post.

I wish this was an option when ordering, seems like a waste in material since I'll now have an extra standard rear leg + had to pay extra $150 for a new one. Their reasoning for not having an option when ordering was "We didn't want customers to accidentally choose the wrong size, since the Short/Tall seat posts were limited in supply."

Item Number 2855 - SHORT SEAT POST REAR LEG AND SADDLE ASSEMBLY BIKEERG
$135 + $8 Shipping to California

From their fitguide: https://www.concept2.com/files/pdf/us/b ... tguide.pdf

Optional seat posts are available for purchase:

• TALL seat post. This will change the seat height
range to 34.25 in–44.50 in (87 cm–113 cm).
Suitable for inside leg measurements between
31 in–41 in ( 78.75 cm–104 cm).

• SHORT seat post. This will change the seat
height range to 28.75 in–38 in (73 cm–99 cm).
Suitable for inside leg measurements between
26 in–35 in (66 cm–89 cm).

That’s good to hear that you can change this post sale, because like you I ordered from Amazon and I fear that it might be too long for my wife. She’s 5’1” but with short legs (myself at 5’7” have short legs too, my Echo bike is at level 1).

Please report back when you get it and how difficult it is to swap. Thanks!

Well I'm glad I checked the forum before buying as I had no idea about this!

Both myself and my wife are pretty short at 5'2". My inside leg is 27.5" or there abouts.

I'm currently on waiting list for the bike erg and although not ideal, they have suggested I but tge bike and the shorter post at time of sale and then I am to mail the normal size post back to them for a refund once received.

Its something to do with the bike supplies and accessories etc being in different places or something.

Not ideal, but glad I found out before receiving the bike!
