I run in the mud, I sweat on the erg, and I happily battle the years...

Yes, that is a Model B in the background, purchased in 1989. Still running like new. Many 10's of millions of meters logged. It pre-dated the logbook, so I don't have logs of my earlier meters (and I apparently didn't keep a paper log either), but it gets at least a million meters a year. A few updated parts over the years (PM5, seat, handle, foot rest) and minor maintenance.
On the BikeErg, I painted over the recessed numbers with white paint, then scraped them flush with a straight razor after it dried. Not perfect, but easy to read for quick changes for different users.

I also added an extension on the RowErg from the fan cage to bring the PM5 and my phone with ErgData closer to the rower, similar to currrent model, but retrofits aren't available for Model B for the arm.
