Fault Code 384 - 4009

Post by Emmseegee » March 25th, 2024, 4:29 pm

Does anyone have any experience with this fault code on a Bike Erg (384-4009)

I have sent an email to concept 2 as below:

I have recently purchased a pre-owned Bike Erg and I am experiencing issues with it.
I have updated the software to the most recent version and also carried out a battery replacement along with a factory reset.

Having exhausted the options available to me I was upset to encounter the PM5 crashing on me yet again.
The most common use for me with the equipment is in ‘Ergathlon’ mode along with a Ski erg and Row erg, this may or may not be relevant to the issue.

The fault code I experienced was Code 384 - 4009 which I cannot find any documentation for online. Please advise.

Assuming nobody here gets back first with information I will update this thread with Concept 2's response when I get it.

You'll need to wait for Concept2 to reply, the error codes are not documented anywhere (except in C2's secret vault).

Things have changed for the latest version of the PM5 on the Erg.

I had a fault code on one in for repair, I updated the firmware and it actually came up with a decent amount of text as to what the fault actually was and it helped me a lot in repairing it.

Really with a full graphics display, its a bit silly just putting up a code only. The first big change was when you try to go "just row" without the tach sensor plugged in, the monitor tells you its not connected. This is obviously a great help when the sensor wires go faulty.

Possibly its an older version of the PM5.
