Pedals

Post by spyratoss » July 20th, 2022, 9:52 pm

Hi everyone,

New to this forum and just received my new Bike Erg. Other than a few minor scratches, it's a great looking machine. Anyway, I tried looking for answers here but couldn't find what I was looking for . My erg came with the flat pedals already on. I wanted to switch to my Shimano clipless pedals but unfortunately , both R and L are impossible to remove. I've read the manual about direction of threads, even used some WD 40 and 3-in 1 oil, let is soak in but to no avail. I haven't called Concept 2 yet but I was wondering, if they can't come off, can they maybe send new crank arms without pedals on?
Or any other tips I may have overlooked would be appreciated.

Thanks

The right hand pedal is a normal leftie loosey thread. The left hand pedal is a rightie loosey thread.

Try using a longer wrench, and maybe tap the wrench with a hammer.
They should come off fairly easily. Make sure you're going the right direction.
