That’s great! Are you currently training for any specific distance/time?

I'm currently not - just grinding away for VTC meters. Are you training for any specific distances/goals, rower or bike?faach1 wrote: ↑January 25th, 2021, 1:39 pmThat’s great! Are you currently training for any specific distance/time?
Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Mainly just grinding like you, with some back door prep for World Rowing Virtual Indoor Sprints (which is 1k)

Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Thank you, Freddie. I seem to do better with negative splits.
I started out at 2:06 flat but had to back off a bit, and then kept feeling better after 2k.

10000m PB from Saturday.
1:37.3 / 80
1:37.0 / 81
1:37.4 / 81
1:37.8 / 81
1:35.1 / 83
16:09.5 / 10000m / 1:36.9 / 81
Df 144. Good enough for 2nd in the rankings. Probably can go a bit faster as it's not a lot faster than my 30 minute PB pace.

Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Good effort Jayson, first off find the drag factor and quote that value rather than damper setting, secondly I’d advice you to use a lower drag factor so that you can keep the rpm higher as 57 for 30 minutes is low. Try 80 rpm and see how that goes.Jayson rower wrote: ↑February 9th, 2021, 4:16 pmHi everyone

Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Thanks, Freddie.
I'd prefer shorter cranks, but c2 only makes the one size.
More resistance (100 up to maximum drag factor for me) helps to even out the power peaks and dead spots.
Jayson, that's a very nice first effort!

Sorry John, I’m not a cycling expert at all. What would shorter cranks affect?johnlvs2run wrote: ↑February 10th, 2021, 12:22 pmThanks, Freddie.
