The Cross Team Challenge is another virtual team competition.
Each month a different distance is selected and people enter their best times for that distance for that month at the website.
http://www.c2ctc.com/person.php You can click on "add or update a person" and chose RowPro Rowers as your team.
People are grouped by team into boats of 5 (3 heavyweights, 1 lightweight, 1 woman).
I hope we can fill some boats!!

I have gotten the strong impression that the CTC is strictly for the Brits (and a few virtual ex-pats).

I agree that the CTC gets more attention on the UK forum.
Its open to all nationalities.
Here are some names of Americans I recognize from the this forum:
John Rupp, Carla Stein (seat5), Chad Goss, Joan Van Blom, Jon Bone.
The Eh team from Canada is very well represented also.
RowPro Rowers is already a team on the CTC challenge. Now we just need to fill some boats.

Hi Bill,
Seems you're just up the road from me (Chelmsford, MA). I joined the CTC a couple of days ago and posted a 250 dash. I'm not sure how the boats get filled and all though...

Hi Trevor,
Glad we're on the same team. So far we have 3 in the boat. You Catherine Sutherland and Me. We need 2 more people to fill the boat.
I'll work on getting my time down. I'm not used to sprinting and I was coming off the seat.
There's a race in Newburyport later this month. Maybe I'll see you there.

I'll see if I can persuade my Tsotsies team mates to jump ship to the RowPro team. We haven't managed to fill a boat in a while, so unless we do something soon to increase participation, a merge might make sense.
Cheers
Dave

Bill,
Where and when is that race in Newburyport? I've looked on the web and can't find anything.
Thanks,
Trevor

Trevor, I emailed you the info on the race.

I've just logged a time for the RowPro team, because I'm not sure we'll put a Tsotsies boat together in the near future. I'll see if I can convince the wife to knock out a quick 250m to float the first boat.
Cheers

Let's stop advertising now. I'm enjoying being in a full boat for a change, and know that I'll be first to make way for new people!
Cheers

OK. We filled a boat. Now what? Should I try doing the 250 again to improve my time?

Definitely! And let's try get another heavyweight, a lightweight and a lady to join Michael and me in boat 2.
Cheers
