Breast Cancer Awareness Team Daily Rowing Diary

Post by Kristine Strasburger » January 24th, 2008, 12:40 pm

Hello,

Team Captain from the LUNA-TICS here.

You guys and gals are doing a great job this JVC!

I have just created a new topic in the JVC forum for the Breast Cancer Awareness Team. It is a copy of Brian's daily rowing diary. Please visit this topic, and give him some encouraging words in these final days of the challenge. Don't forget to take the poll at the top of the page, too.

Thanks!

I'm no hotshot, I'm a grandma! And I'd die if someone put me in a magazine!

...I'm still gonna beat Ping though...

Nice job!! I just read an article on Ping and the dude looks fit. We need you to shame him into trying it again. I bet you have a 1:45 in you somewhere. Great job. I did talk to a Danny Brault from racerX Canada last night. He seems like a great guy and is going to write about the challenge and the team. Our team Rocks and we should all try and finish up hard and try and regain the 10th spot. I think I have a marathon in me and maybe a half before the end. Keep up the great work. - Greg

I'm trying again today.
Hey, Michelle, way to go! Pretty impressive!

Nice job Michelle!

We should organize a new cross sport challenge event...how about RowerCross? 5000M on the Rower & 5 laps on a MX track somewhere. Recruit a bunch of Moto only guys (with no experience on the C2.. ) and challenge them to a race. Best overall times win. We've got some wicked strong/fast rowers here that I'll bet are pretty decent on the track as well.

How would some guys like...well pick a few, out of shape, non-training MX pros (are there any?)... feel about getting beat by some rank amatuers? Issue the challenge. Kinda like the SurferCross event.

Might be a crazy idea - I feel kinda lightheaded after getting off that machine!

Hahaha! That's awesome. It would have to be real rowing for me to have a chance though, since I would need about about 20minute head start on the ride. My only hope would be to have everyone flip those skinny little racing shells that are WAY harder to balance than they look. :D Where is there a MX track right beside a lake?

Breaking news post on Racer X Ill

Post by racerxvirtualtrainer » January 25th, 2008, 2:35 pm

FYI, I just posted a breaking news story on Racer X to try and get a final push for top ten! This weekend is the last weekend of the month, so get off your arses....or should I say, get on your arses and row row row!

For the sake of meters, I'm about to knock out another 'half' here in a few minutes. Oh, and Michelle, Heath Voss' house lies smack dab between a beautiful lake and his MX/SX tracks. Maybe we can have the race there :) if you guys want to make a trip down to Texas. Winters are pretty mild down here - high of 72 tomorrow.

If Heath will let us use his track and lake I could ask Travis P if he would do it (and I knowt he would). That dude loves a challenge. Hey this could be good!

I'll ask him when he gets back from San Francisco.
