If you're doing something new you've got to have a vision. You've got to have some north star you're aiming for, and you just believe somehow you'll get there.

This for all the rowers on the team who may be new to rowing or new to the Challenge.

Every meter that is rowed is important and is meaningful to the team.

Team Timbuk2 began as a small boat of the original TIMBUKTU crew. For the Challenge we extended our boat and formed TEAM TIMBUK2.
We were fortunate to add 39 rowers. Some new to the "sport" and some with experience and a desire to row to distances unknown. It has been such a pleasure meeting all the new team mates and watching the boat grow and show such spirit and strength. The enthusiasm and effort to keep the boat at its present standing in the Challenge is amazing.Way to row team!!!

Waters are getting a bit rough...

Attention all TIMBUK2-ians..
After a great start of holding onto 5th place in the rankings for 2 weeks..we have slid back to 6th place. The Team RowPro Online passed us by 175,019 meters. In a matter of just a few minutes.
This will happen as the Challenge progresses.New members get added and some rowers don't log their meters daily..they tend to save them up.
DO NOT get discouraged. We are still rowing strong and have spirit that will not be defeated.
If we can stay in the top 10 that will say volumes about our team.

GO TIMBUK2!!!

by the way..I check these stats frequently and FYI they logged 227,118 meters in the time it took me to go from one web site to another. That is quite a feat!!!

PJM,

Your posts are so motivating! I LOVE all the animated graphics you use. They rock! B) Thanks for being such a great captain. You are really on top of everything. It's obvious that you are dedicated to helping others achieve their best, even those on other teams. How refreshing!

Let's have a great week TIMBUK2!

OUR team is the BEST...
But all rowers are winners by just making the effort to row each day.Such a giant step towards good health and longevity.I want to live FOREVER   B)

Hey, TIMBUK2!

I'm back in the saddle! Life got in the way for the last few days, but I'm ready to start another week, and I'm planning on kicking it up a notch (bam!) with more meters for each session this week. We can't let those Eh!s catch up! And maybe we can threaten those RowPros!

LET'S GO, TIMBUK2!!!

Thanks for checking in , Barb.I like to hear from "my" crew. Our lives have their twists and turns and there is so much that we need to do.Life itself is a challenge at times and I think that challenges like the one we are participating in as a team makes me put things in perspective. Our team is special and each mate has his or her own individual place in the boat. But work together with such harmony.Great to have you back.I see a couple of other team members are back or are going to be back.
GO TIMBUK2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
