I had a Vintage MX race last night at an indoor arena cross facility. (It's winter here). Needless to say, old POS MX bikes with no brakes, lousy clutches and crappy suspension aren't the best on a track designed for arena cross racers.

Our races are normally on old school, big outdoor tracks with minimal jumps.
I have been tapering my rowing the last couple of days, so I would be fresh for this event. I won both of my classes I was entered in. 250 Evolution Expert and 50+ Expert. These are short motos, maybe 7 or 8 minutes. I never got tired. Sure you feel the effort, but not tired enough to start slowing down. No doubt the Concept 2 has helped this process. My real test will be when the 2 hour hare scramble season starts in a month or so.
So now it's back to rowing. I did crash hard at one point and sustained a deep bruise to my thigh, but I think I can still finish rowing out the challenge.
Row on
