That sounds awesome nobody at C2 had even heard of CTC. I am starting a university/ Club team under the name MOTO Madmen and Women.

You should contact the webmaster in order to open a new "Motomadmen" section analaog to the "Forum in het Netherlands" once the JVC has finished.
Or in the "University/Club/Challenge corner"

Or move to the "Teams and Clubs" section in the UK forum.
But I dont know if that will be a right option for you Yanks... :?

And start posting your times for this mointh's Cross Team Challenge, it's "only" a 250m sprint!

For any questions regarding the challenges, don't hesitate to ask!

Cheers and happy R&R (Rowing&Riding)

We don't have much for public land to ride on, but we do have tons of racing around.
Northern Ontario, Canada. The MX track is just around the corner and so is the greenbelt. Millions of acres of Crown Land (open to anybody) and we do have Enduros and Harescrambles just a few hours south. Parry Sound held a round of the WEC last year and that is only 2 hours away. I plan on taking a few weekends to participate in some HS this summer. :D

Shouldn't you guys be riding snowmobiles or dog sleds, not motorcycles? Seems like a pretty short season.

TB is 11 hours west of Sudbury where I live. Toronto is 4.5 hours south of Sudbury.

Yeah and building igloos too! :D

Short season? That's why I have rowed 428 Kms in the past 16 days. :P

Greg - where are Tim C (RacerXVT) & Rob H (TransforMX) logging there meters? They both need to be shouldering some of the weight along with the rest of us Motoheads!

Nice pics guys, Your making me salivate! As much as I love snowmobiling in the white stuff outside my door, 2 wheels & dirt is the number one passion!

I copied your forum post and sent it to both Rob and Tim to help build a fire under them. I asked Rob (TransforMX) why we were not seeing any meters coming in and he said he was working on the Chris Blais rower so I gave him a reprieve. I can't wait to see a KTM/Concept2 rower. Though you would think in a state that only has a couple hours of daylight he could find time to row a little!

You guys are hilarious! I come back from skiing and there are 6 pages to read. Very entertaining!
Let me see if I can catch up...

Um, I'd post pics of my gargage but (A) my bikes are filthy and they'd look like crap next to all those gleaming machines of yours, and (B) I have no idea how to post pictures.

Keeping our "R&R" forum spot after January would be awesome.

Setting up a Team/Club would be great too, except I don't know if I could have two affiliations (I'm already on my rowing club - VCRC) but I guess I'll find out once Team Moto is set up.

Steve, keep your elbows up. The last part of your stroke should be the squeezing of your shoulder blades together, which works better if your elbows are high.

What is the CTC?

Okay, I think that's it. Now I've got to go feed the dogsled team...

Short season? Hey, he's not much further north than I am & I've ridden every month for the past 2 years. This year we're getting more of a real winter, I still can't get out of my driveway. If I had one of those cool dual sport bikes, I'd probably ride every day. I keep telling my wife that I want to get a house with a 3rd garage so I can get a 2WD Ural for winter, but she's not into it.

Michelle: To post a picture, you have to have it somewhere in the net before (e.g. http://imageshack.us/)
Then you have to copy the URL of the picture, and paste it on your message. and then put it between ""

The CTC (Cross Team Challenge, http://www.c2ctc.com/) is a monthly virtual team challenge.

Each month you have to race a distance, time or interval, and enter the times of the members.
The results are noted as "boats": Ecah boat is formed by a female, a lightweight (male or female) and 3 "open" members.
When you have all 3 members, you have put a boat "afloat". The more boats, the better, and the faster times, even better!

The challenges are decided by the teams taking part.

You will be able to see some astonishing performances, specially coming from the "MAD" team!

In order to take part, I think you have to contact Daren (http://www.c2forum.com/privmsg.php?mode=post&u=52) or Dougie (Citroen, http://www.c2forum.com/privmsg.php?mode=post&u=77) to enter a new team.
Then, you can enter as a member("Add or update a person"), and select the team you belong to.
If you choose no team, you will appear as an "Independent", which has developed as a kind of a team on itself... :?
Also have a look at the CTC-Thread in the UK forum: http://www.concept2.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... highlight=

Now, you Motoboyz&girlz, will you take the challenge?

This was funny and thought you all might like the fact that we are making people nervous. This email is from the guy that is captain for the Ancients.

Dear Dena and Greg,

Had a very frightening experience this weekend. Went to bed unusually early after a long day of rowing and suddenly found myself in the midst of a horrible nightmare. I think I was being attacked by something. So scary my mind woould not let me recall the details. Anyway, there I was wide awake so I decided to go on line. Needless to say I went to the Standings. There bigger than life was my problem. MOTO MADMEN AND WOMEN had moved right behind me in the standings. In a cold sweat I immediately repaired to my cold basement on this cold night to begin rowing again. My rheumatoid specialist will present a bill to C2.

You have to inform your young crew that we oldsters need some warning when about to be attacked by monsters. Should you not abide by my request, I promise to have thousands of seniors FROM AARP NO LESS in your mountains as early as Monday morning bombing the Concept2 factory and all of your homes with tens of thousands of snowballs as they chant: "RESPECT THE ANCIENTS.". The choice is yours.

Hey, all kidding aside. Good rowing for Ron. Get Sean back up in the top ten. We need some friendly faces up there.

Ahhhh--only eleven days left.

My very best,

Bill

The Ancients have 12 team members and have currently rowed an average of 450,000M per member. I'd say there is no comparision. Plus I imagine there is an age limit for thier team? No kids under 50?
