Coming Back!

Post by barbbesal » January 7th, 2008, 5:53 pm

Hi, all!

Sorry I missed out on rowing this weekend. I had to leave town for a funeral. Sad, but it was good to see family I haven't seen in a while. Anywho... I never would have said this last year, but after 3 days off, I'm actually glad to be back on the erg! Just having this team to depend on (and knowing that you're depending on me, if only for a fraction of the total meters) has REALLY motivated me! Another 5k on the board for today!

You guys were really busy while I was gone! I'm so IMPRESSED!! :)

GO TIMBUK2!!!

Just a little motivation

Post by barbbesal » January 7th, 2008, 6:03 pm

I was just playing with some distances... we're just over 2000km now. The distance from LA to Japan is 2,457km. We've almost rowed the Pacific Ocean!!

GO TIMBUK2!

You can observe a lot just by watching.
-- Yogi Berra

Team..be sure to watch the standings page and watch your fellow team mates and other teams. It is fun and can help you set & keep your goals. Also it puts alot into perspective.

In reference to the previous post..just think of this as you are rowing:

In the category of Challenge Teams of 21-50 members we are NUMBER ONE!!!and #5( so far) out of 205 teams.

In this Challenge there are 205 teams.2144 rowers. And in total everyone have rowed over 72 million meters. And it is only Jan.7th.Pretty amazing.

So when you are doing your daily row or row for the week or whatever your schedule allows for..every meter you row is GREAT.Our team is strong ..has spirit and is consistent. What team work!!!
And you are rowing for good health and fitness!!!
Great job!!

Kristine from the LUNA-TICS boat here. Your team captain, PJM, is a great guy. He has visited our Team Room frequently, and left some great and encouraging posts. Thanks for visiting us!

You guys are really doing a great job with your meters, considering the number of rowers on your team. You are right behind us on the all team standings board, but about 20 members fewer than us, and doing more meters average per person. Way to go! TIMBUK2 is definitely a STRONG team.
