Hi Dena. I am a knitter and a rower and am looking for a team for the World Challenge starting next week. Can I join the Knotty Knitters? I divide my time between knitting, rowing and three horses. Looking forward to joining you and other knitting towers!

Oy! That's knitting rowers! I have to figure out how to turn off the spell check on this iPad!

Autumn challenge

Post by luvmypony » September 1st, 2011, 4:00 pm

Hi Dena and fellow knitting rowers. I got the notice of the next virtual challenge and it comes just I time. I need some motivation to get reacquainted with my Concept2. I have had a very good summer, got a lot of knitting done and entered some items in the local county fairs, as well as doing a lot of riding my horse. I learned to make hot pepper jelly -- YUM! -- and learned I don't have an off switch when it comes to sampling that pepper jelly. Did I already mention YUM? So I am carrying 5 lbs more than I was at the beginning of the year! Agh!

I've started warming up on the rower, really warming up because my rower is upstairs on the loft and the upstairs AC has given up the ghost. Fortunately, the brutally hot weather seems to have finally ended here, and a big box fan makes rowing doable.

I hope everyone else had a good summer. Looking forward to the start of the challenge.

Cheers!

Karen

i'm so glad to hear from a knotty knitter, and am excited to start the challenge too! i've had a good summer rowing in a regatta, and swimming laps. am now ready to use my rowing machine again! first though i'm going on a road trip through michigan, ontario and new york to see my niece in ithaca. will be back september 13 just in time to start the challenge, and really motivated to do so after all that driving! hope we can communicate a lot during the challenge! it's always a pleasure to hear from other rowers.
