January Virtual Challenge 2009 Team LUNA-TICS is ready

Team LUNA-TICS is looking for YOU! If you want to be a part of a virtual team that is highly supportive of the efforts of all, and has a very active Team Social Life, then LUNA-TICS is your team.

Our goal as a team is to collectively row to the moon and back. It is a long way, and we keep ourselves moving along with friendly inter-team competition, and lots of encouragement.

The hub of our Team social life and encouragement is our official Team Room - a virtual clubhouse of sorts where we hang out with each other before or after rowing, and talk about all sorts of interesting things.

You can visit our official active Team Room under the Teams heading on the main forum index (the LUNA-TICS Team Room you see listed under this January Virtual Team Challenge heading is the old, original Team Room we started during last year's challenge. We do not currently use it, but reading through this one will give you a good idea of the encouragement the team gives during the JVC.)

Here's the latest info from C2 on how to enter the upcoming January Challenge posted by Dena, and re-printed here so you don't miss it.

Calling all rowers and teams! It's time to sign up for the January Virtual Team Challenge 2009.

The Details

-Each team rows as many meters as they can collectively between 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) January 1 and 12:00 a.m. ET, January 31, 2009.
-This is a team challenge. You must belong to a team to participate. This is not the same as your club affiliation in your profile. See "Information for Team Members" below.
-Teams must consist of at least two (2) people.
-All teams wanting to participate in the JVTC must be signed up by midnight ET January 15.
-All team members must be added to their teams by midnight ET on January 15. No team members can be added after January 15.
-Team members may only be deleted from the team before midnight ET on January 15. No team members can be deleted after January 15.
-New this year: Team members who have their own logbooks must indicate in their logbooks that they are actively participating in the current challenge. (See the Team Member page for more information.) Active participation must by indicated by midnight ET on January 15.
-Meters must be entered online.
-Only indoor rower meters count (no water meters please).
-Deadline for entering meters: Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at midnight ET.
