Is WRC really accurate?

First of all I think everything about this site and the forum and Concept2 rocks! But WRC?

It is still basically a NARC because of the limitations on international competitors eligibility for prizes.

There are a number of other almost US exclusive sports that claim World Series, World Champs status, so is this another?

I understand and agree with the rules because it would be too expensive and unwiedly to operate all the C2 challenges & schemes worldwide, but shouldn't it do what it says on the tin?

Now if prizes were available to international teams on the proviso that they were responsible for shipping costs, that would be a tin with WRC on it.
