Yep, works as it says, and if you use it strapless be careful to not "fall in".

There are several here who have ordered them from me, so do a search of the forum for more discussion on it.

Cheers.

I have one and absolutely love it. Definately closer to the feeling of being in a 1x.

I recently bought a used one from RogerR but was waiting to install it until after my competition 2 weeks ago. I will probably install it in the next couple of days and will report back.

Just getting back on the erg after 3 weeks off from the flu and thought it would be a good time to emphasis technique inorder to make sure I'm recovered. Decided to order a CorePreform (look for my order Paul :) .

I'll report back. But am wondering, if a person row regularly on the water, why would the seat help much?

That would kind of be a personal thing to determine, but for myself the CP-1 teaches the body to remain more consistently balanced during the stroke cycle, since when in a boat you have the oars to assist with the overall stability of the seat platform (whole boat). Similar differences will be felt when using the CP-1 strapless or strapped in.

Paul,

Are you going to bring a CorePerform to the CRASH-Bs? I'd like to give one a try before I buy.

Although I've never used one I would imagine it being useful to novice scullers or sweep rowers learning to scull. Quite often some of these people can favour one side of the body during the leg drive causing the boat to tilt to one side. In sculling it's important to be straight up and down the boat with even pressure from both sides of the body.

It may also help ergers that are stronger on one side of the body than the other and help correct their bias to one side.
