Body part problem!

OK, lets hope I'm not the first to ask about this...
Basicly, my left testical gets in the way while I row. It usually begins after 15-20 minutes of rowing, and continues until I finish. It has not become painful yet, but it does require me to adjust my return stroke a bit to not 'catch' the testical on the way by with my legs. It's distracting and tends to decrease the effectiveness of the stroke.
Why might this be happening and how can I solve the problem?

Are you rowing in baggy shorts? If so go out and get some pressure shorts, those tight things that serious cyclers wear. Don't however get cycling ones because they are padded in the wrong area. Go to Dick's (just a naming co-incidence), they have a really nice light pair for $19.95 in the general fitness area, or Concept sells some with Polar Fleece lining that work very well.

took me a long time to figure out the tip noted above
I tried a few things and then like a dream come true . . . .
Really, C2 should supply a pair with every machine (for males). It has made erging WAY better. And of course, for many men, whining about, or even mentioning, genitals, is taboo.

Hey, why supply them just for men, they look great on gals.
You are right of course, generally this type of inquiry would earn a
"Pull up your big girl panties, and deal with it." among a group of friendly male rowers. I simply did not want to be misinterpretted, as seems to be the most common occurance these days.

When I first started erging, I had a similar issue, where my testicles would hang very low, and caused me much discomfort and pain. Cycling tights never helped, although my physical response changed in a way which prevented the problem.
Oddly, after I got more intensely involved in rowing, as well as stair climbers, I found my testicles responded differently. Instead of hanging more, which seems to be the normal reaction to increased body temperature, my testicles would get tighter. Even worse, when I would take a hot shower immediately after a workout, my testicles would get so tight as to be in my body. I found this very disconcerting.
The changed response is somewhat permanent, but seems to be related to my fitness and or workout intensity. Over the course of a year, the fitter I become, the tighter my testicles get, although I no longer experience 'losing' my testicles.
