Multiple Myeloma

About a year ago, at age 46, I developed a pain in my back while running. I stopped running and stuck to the C2 while waiting for whatever I did to myself to heal. When I didn't improve after a while, in fact with the pain worsening, I began a series of appointments with doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists who all told me rest was the key. After months of no improvement, I tried a new primary care physician who ran a routine blood test and discovered I had Multiple Myeloma. To make a long story short, about 3 weeks ago I had a stem cell transplant, where my own stem cells were reistalled, as it were, and sometime this summer I'm scheduled for another transplant with my brother as a stem cell donor. I've been lucky in that I haven't been real sick ( yet, knock on wood!) And a week or so ago I started working out again using the C2 and some free weights. My times on the erg have suffered, as has my stamina, but it feels great to be active again. I was just wondering if anyone out there has had any experiences to share with this kind of thing. I've been lurking on the forum for a long time, butr this is my first post. Thanks!!
