Follow the collor of your urine, it should be not to dark, but also not almost colourless, drinking 10 liter in normal conditions is certainly excessive and not healthy. Most people tend to drink not enough though.

We recently had someone over here drinking 8 to 10 litres of Coke a day for years and years.

Needless to say she died.

This is a puzzle to me, hjs. Are you responding to some previous post? If so - Who? When? and Where? Was it a post that has been deleted or censored?

My curiosity is running overtime here. Coincidentally, for the first time, I lost over 10 pounds during the night - from 174.4 after the last cup of water in the evening to 164.2 just before the first cup of water in the morning. So there was a total of 4.6 liters of water lost. My total consumption of plain water was about 3 1/2 liters, but some of the food had a fair moisture content. (My guess of the reason for the discrepancy was that I had too much salt in a restaurant meal the day before and therefor had retained more water than usual that night, finally eliminating the remainder of it last night.)

How is that for a scheme (scam?) for making money - promoting a program for losing 10 pounds a night, every night? All you have to do is drink a big load of water all day long. Somehow I don't think that it would sell, but you never know. Some folks might fall for it.

My questions were in reference to the 10 liter bit. Were you responding to someone who recommended 10 liters a day? Your post was the first on this thread, so there is no earlier reference here to 10 liters. Was there a post about that on another thread? If so, I either missed it or it slipped my mind somehow. Sure, 10 liters is far in excess of any reasonable amount unless someone is sweating far more than usual. I just don't remember seeing that figure mentioned before your post.

The OP was from a subtle spammer who'd managed to get 10 posts in before I spotted him. Normally I'd try to tidy up after deleting him, but that's a lot of work and I'm jet lagged, so sorry!

Thanks, hjs and PaulH. That clears it all up. I had a hunch that the original post was deleted, but my curiosity got the best of me. And, of course, it gave me a good excuse to tell about my unusual overnight weight loss.
