Trochanteric Bursitis
Trochanteric Bursitis
I am an infrequent poster [mainly because I spend most of my free time cross-training]. The other day, after a very intense 40 min of interval work on my bicycle, I developed [hours later] what my net research suggests is Trochanteric Bursitis. I have been training since my early 20's and have done it all and had many different injuries. The pain from this is absolutely the most intense I have ever experienced. Has anyone ever had this diagnosis? How was your recovery?
Re: Trochanteric Bursitis
Go see a doctor about it, a quick search say's that Trochanteric Bursitis is hard to diagnose in the first place. You mightn't have that at all.

Re: Trochanteric Bursitis
I had Trochanteric Bursitis about two years ago . You are right . the pain is inconsolable . I have been active all my life , I am now 53 , and have had lots of other injuries , but this was something else . I was writhing in bed with the pain . No position could make me comfortable . Tender to the touch.....I could not lie on that side for several weeks .I had physio for probably 5 weeks , and had to walk with a cane for awhile . My physio said that it was probably just lying in wait and I just did too much one day and boom over the edge I went . I feel for you , but rest assured it will go away with time .rshoffer wrote:I am an infrequent poster [mainly because I spend most of my free time cross-training].
