I can't imagine there's any pump that works at 1811 K (1538 °C, 2800 °F). Isn't most iron founding done using gravity.

Or perhaps the expression "pumping iron" is just silly.

I do lift a few weights, but it's just so boring.

I've had a very high level of fitness, compared to my peers, for so long now. It's because for the past 35 years I've always made the time, despite many other commitments, to have regular exercise and watch what I eat. Now well into my 40s it's starting to pay dividends. Quality of life is much better than my peers who have really aged now. This is due to their long hours in the office, too many boozey business lunches and only enough time for fast food breaks and rare visits to the gym.

My only problem is finding new workouts to stay focused and motivated. At the moment I'm really into organic exercise as opposed to artificial exercise.

What is organic and artificial exercise you ask!

Organic exercise is doing the real thing outdoors such as rowing on the water, cycling, cross-country skiing, running and bushwalking.

Artificial exercise is working out in the gym on rowing machines, exercise bikes, steppers, treadmills, weights etc. It may be more convenient for the time poor but is so much more boring to do and not sustainable for too long without running into difficulty staying motivated.

My rare venture indoors for a workout now is onto a Rowperfect erg with a moving flywheel which doesn't have that dead action feel of a C2 erg. But it's still an erg and all ergs suck compared to being out on the water in a boat.

Don't get bored indoors. Make the time for an organic workout and let the body and mind feel the difference.
PBs: 2K 6:13.4, 5K 16:32, 6K 19:55, 10K 33:49, 30min 8849m, 60min 17,309m
Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.
