Re: sore hands
They changed it because the plastic handle which is longer and angles slightly downward, is supposedly more ergonomic than the original shorter wooden straight handle. Despite that fact, some people prefer the original handle. Others aren't satisfied with either of them and have created their own. I've heard of some that were adapted from handlebars used on mountain bikes. Others have found that using the original handles and modifying only the grips can be beneficial.remisture wrote:Why did they change the handle if the wooden one is better for the hands? The bottom line is that the handle that's the most comfortable to use is the best one for you.
Re: sore hands
The wooden handle is actually a little cheaper that the plastic one.
Re: sore hands
Couple little blisters lately in my left hand palm from longer sweaty endurance sessions
Bit strange tbh... i do lots of barbell stuff with rough grip, never wear weightlifting gloves so would think my hands are tougher for sure.

Re: sore hands
Dear sirs,
I finally bought the oarsome grip for the concept 2 blue handle.
And it works! I rowed arround 60km bare hands, without any blisters. It is very confortable for me.
Just few remarks, the grip is a bit "big", but it fit to my hands.
The main problem, is that grips are rotate arround the C2 handle. I taped them with several turn of double side tape, but still rotate a little (half turn after 45min row, and only the left one).
I put more tape, but then it is very difficult to install it on the handle.
I'll try to find a solution to fix them on the handle.
Anyway, even if the grip is not well attached to the handle, it works. No more blisters, and before, with gloves or pads I had blister after 30mn row.
Regards, GilS

Re: sore hands
Mine are very sore, especially between the fingers at the bottom. I just rub olive oil on them.
Each of us must find his own way, but I'll help you: here you can try your luck with Champagne Slot.

Tea tree oil is best for the skin
I kinda like the fragrance of it as well, so a nice bonus.
