OOPS. The typo is now edited out, but only after being trapped forever in your quote.PaulS wrote:Hi Boib. :DBob S. wrote:Have you checked out the Net? The following looks interesting:Fatboy58 wrote:Hi there,

Pes anserinus
Too bad there is no dokter in Belgium who's in to prolotherapy
pes anserinus
I had same issue after 800k no pain erging of 10k's , intervals etc. I finally determined that my lower legs were going past vertical at catch, especially in high rate intervals. So I cut back on distances by 30% 1 wk, put some tape on the rail to que me to keep just shy of vertical, got some good arnica oil salve and problem was gone in 4-5 days. FYI I never felt pain while rowing, only came on 3-5 hrs later and would last for not regular peroids. Strange injury. Also I was experimenting with low rate (16) work and that may have added to problem as well.
Good luck

pes anserinus issues
Hello,
In having worked with a couple of people with issue, usually there is some sort of either older injury or repetative trauma that leds itself to this imbalance. Solutions that have worked - michaelw is right on with using the arnica as a homeopathic for some of the pain and paying very close attention to technique. The other side of it is how did it happen and what is the underlying cause of imbalance in the system that is now showing up as pes? For this, the best choice is to find a chiropractor that can make sure your nervous system, spine and pelvis are in balance and that all things are moving and working properly. Also, if the chiropractor is not trained in it, find someone in your area that also does kinesio taping techinique. This is a specialized taping that helps speed up the healing process working with the muscles, lymphatic and nervous systems - and you can move, row, shower and eveything else with it on. It is used by athletes all over the world. Look up the association and they can give a referral if your Chiropractor does not use it in their office. I know there is a UK office that could probably find someone trained. If anyone needs chiropractor referrals that are athlete friendly, just email me what area your looking for and I will see who may be able to help. Good Luck.
