Why would you take something that causes bone and mineral loss.
It sounds like you're going to a medical quack.
The #1 thing to do is to stop taking something that causes bone and mineral loss.

If we assume your condition is equivalent to osteoporosis in women then this article http://www.concept2.com/05/rower/womenw ... orosis.asp may interest you. That article points to http://www.jbmronline.org.rutkieaf wrote:ADT for recurrent prostate cancer causes bone and mussle mass loss. How effective erging to prevent or minimize the loss?
JBMR has some articles on androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer.
BTW, ignore Rupp - he has a problem with any medical questions posted on here.

ADT
Dear John,
I appreciate you comment. However when radiation did not cure my cancer, ADT was the only next option short of chimotherapy for cancer that may have spread from my prostate. ADT is widely reconized as an effective tretment.
Please know what your PSA value is and follow it over time.

My father-in-law died of prostate cancer.rutkieaf wrote:Dear Citroen,
YES you got it right. Thanks for the reference.
This year we had a 24 hour row, 50K relay and 4 man British record marathon relay row for prostate cancer (in honour of Andy Ripley).
From what I've just read - exercise is essential for good bone development.
I'll wear my prostate cancer charity http://www.prostate-cancer.org.uk/ T-shirt when I go to the gym tomorrow.

John, please just stop. This is a serious question.John Rupp wrote:Why would you take something that causes bone and mineral loss.

Deprivation generally means "limitting", not 'taking something'.
Regardless, Citroens advice looks reasonable.
We now return to our regularly scheduled program.
Erg on,
