Ski Erg?

Post by GSARider » August 17th, 2023, 5:42 pm

Hi all, I have a concept 2 and a Keiser M3 bike and have been looking at the Ski Erg. Any users give me some feedback / comparisons. Is it worth me getting one, given what I have atm ? I also have Bowflex selectable weight dumbbells, bench and some kettlebells that I use.

I bought one a year ago to complement my Model D and Bike Erg. I don't regret it. I put 250km on it in the first year. I find it harder than the rower or the bike to get the same splits, but I still like it a lot.

For the bike and the rower, I can just plunk down on it, no matter how tired I am. For the ski I have to stand, which requires a bit more motivation. But it works different muscles, and if you are disciplined about it, you can do a gentle or hard workout.

I also have a treadmill and an elliptical, neither of which I use nearly as much as the Concept 2s. I have a pull-up bar and high and low parallettes and a barbell for strength, which I don't enjoy as much but I do 3 times a week.
