Ankle replacement
Does anyone have any experience with an ankle replacement and rowing? This is my 5th month of rowing. I put in about 45K a week and did the 21K Solstice nonstop. In a month, though, I have to get my ankle replaced. Oddly, I can’t walk very far, but I can row without too much pain. I know I’ll be completely out for a while (ankle recovery is much longer than hip or knee), but I don’t want to leave rowing. When I can get up in a boot and scooter, is there any king of rowing I can do? Arms only? One leg?

How about the SkiErg?
That can be done seated, which would not put any load on your ankle.
