I am having problems with leg cramps, particularly cramping in my thighs. Any suggestions?

the last time i was having really bad leg cramps, i had some blood work done.
Turned out I had a magnesium mineral deficiency. I was at the time drinking 2 gallons of water a day plus daily cardio sessions. I was basically flushing minerals out of my body.

Sweating also depletes the body of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium. And as stated drinking too much water will help do the same. Try getting plenty of potassium. You can make a sports drink using two cups of pomegranate juice and two cups of coconut water and drink this before, during, and after working out. It will keep you hydrated and will restore important minerals, but the key is to eat lots of vegetables, legumes, and grains to get the minerals you need. The cramps should go away.

I think this may help : These cramps will always surface after hot days and especially if you've been exercising a fair bit. It actually has almost nothing to do the actual leg muscles believe it or not. Any strenuous exercise will bring it on and it most often will strike in the middle of the night when you are peacefully lying in bed. It happens to many athletes especially lawn tennis players. Take the magnesium and all will be well. Be careful at the pharmacy to choose an adequate supplement.
