Osteo Arthritis & Regenexx Procedure

Post by mccartjt » January 29th, 2009, 1:47 am

Hi Folks

I've seen many posts here on about Osteo Arthritis. I have had a knee injury from my youth that has plagued me for 40 years. I am very fortunate in that I've just recently gone thru the Regenexx procedure for stem cells for my left knee.

I still have recovery time in front of me, & my condition has improved no doubt about it. I've been able to row 140,000 meters since starting back rowing. Dr Centeno has already aided a 67 year old athlete back to being able to compete in Hawaiian Ironman Triathalons. He was facing total knee replacement (TKR). The story goes that Dr Marroon (the athlete patient) was so impressed with the procedure that when he was recovered he put out his own press release that gave rise to the following story in his local newspaper.

All of the above may sound like this an advert which its not. However as much as I want to pass the good news I don't want to individually respond to everyone that suffers from arthritis in their knees/backs/hips/ankles/shoulders etc.

I hope that this makes sense and may help out some of my fellow rowers!
You can contact Dr Centeno via his website @ www.regenexx.com

BTW I row for Timbuk2 team & so far have completed over 100,000 meters this month! I hope to do 2 million meters in 12 months and loose 30-40lbs in weight!

Regards

John Mc
