Concernings about the length of line movement. New version?

Post by saab_turbo » November 28th, 2009, 5:43 pm

Hello, Sweden calling! :D

I was testing one of these today and liked it a lot.
I felt quality in every pull...

I have used a homemade version this autumn but because of a cheap rowmodule it has come to an point where I am going to buy an SkiErg instead.

Except for one thing, maybe it's my fault because of olderness pullingstyle, but still a bit annoying.
I've sometimes get to the end of the rope.
The instructor on the gym sad it was going to be a change in the construction in the top to get a longer line movement.

The questions is as follow:
1.) What is the construction change you are going to do? Do the "tower" a bit higher? Or just place the block down a bit?
2.) How can I be sure to get one of these new versions when I order my SkiErg?

Hello,

As a result of feedback from users, we have altered the rubber tube bumper and blue cord that the handles are attached to. Starting from November 2, 2009 all SkiErgs manufactured have handles that hang 5cm lower from the top bracket. This allows the extreme low position of the handle to be 5cm closer to the floor. This change should help stop you from pulling all the way to the end of the rope.

Any stock now available from your local dealer, Concept Träningsredskap, should have the new design. But you can check with them when placing your order.

If a lower handle position is required on a SkiErg manufactured prior to November 2, it is recommended to replace the rope with PN 2735, blue rope with bumper. Attempts to increase the handle travel by adjusting the knots that attach the cords to the handles will cause problems with the routing of the cords inside the SkiErg and cause it to malfunction.

Thanks for the answer!

I have checked with Concept Träningsredskap and also ordered one piece of SkiErg today.
It looks like a buzy winter in front of me, even if I don't get any snow.

Greetings from Sweden!
