Concept 2 NZ

Post by weefree » July 5th, 2014, 11:18 pm

Hi folks,

Just been on the NZ site as really interested in buying a skierg and comparing the prices ie. NZ and Aus, i'm amazed at the price difference! I appreciate we're pretty far away to get them brought in but are we that far away for it to cost over $1000Aus more expensive!

Has anyone bought form Aus/US/Uk and imported in to NZ?

I don't mind paying but I just feel like i'm being ripped off in this instance.

Most of the Antipodean folks post their stuff on http://indoorsportservices.co.uk/forum (the UK forum).

Concept 2 products are already being Parallel imported into NZ as we no longer have exclusive distributorship in this country.

Have a look on Trade-Me for the contacts and I'm having to bring in my monitor spare parts from overseas as they are a rippoff in NZ, although they are coming down now as a result of pressure from other resellers and someone like me repairing the monitors for all of NZ. The PM4 over here has now dropped from $480 to $380 but that is still twice the price of one in the USA. Yes it costs allot to ship things here, I know I'm in sales and all of our suppliers are offshore be we don't pay retail from them to start with and we have to be compeditive and watch the margins or our customers simply buy online

Everything in the country is a rip, I even had to order my washing machine parts to enable me to fix it from an online company half way round the world and they were 1/3 of the price here and thats delivered !
