Have got the Ergdata app and have started linking it to my skierg for workouts, how does one get one's workouts into the rankings? I thought they'd be included automatically

You need to go to your log and press the 'rank' button of that specific workout.
Ergdata will only push the workout to your log automatically.

Where is the rank icon?

I should have specified, am using the Iphone app

It's not in the app, it's in your online logbook, where you can find your logged workouts. As far as I know, ranking is only possible from there, not from within the app.
