Finally took the leap

I converted my wife into a rower and now she has 1,000,000m on it and enjoys it. She no longer says no to adding a SkiErg. I finally have it in my collection. Just spent whole Friday evening mounting it on the wall, which happens to have 12 inch instead of 16 inch studs, and I had to get a piece of wood for it. I am super happy about the results and cannot wait to put some meters on it.

Thanks, Salky.

I had a few short sessions on the SkiERG. It was much harder for me. At the same heart rate, I output about 30% less power than on the RowERG. What’s more, my max power on the SkiErg was only 50% of that on the RowErg.

I am glad I got the skiERG instead of the bikeRRG. There is a lot of gain waiting for me from the former.

I experience the same, despite not having such huge differences in output. On the skierg my splits are ca. 4-5s/500m slower compared to rowErg. If I go for 100m to get max output, I have 1:26.5 compared to 1:20.5 on the rowErg. Never did low pulls on both, so this is the nearest I have in terms of max power.
