I was thinking about some kind of RowPro alternative or maybe first person perspective videos of XC skiing to watch during workout - do you guys know about such things?
Looking at the wall can get boring - nice winter landscape would make huge difference

I've been searching youtube for biathlons and nordic races. There are a bunch! If you put the TV close enough you'll be skiing right along with them. My times are 2-3x the pros......

You didn't post where you are located. Able to get the Olympic channel here in the Midwest US, full of winter sports including x country skiing, biathlons, etc. DVR is set to record both men's & women's biathlon races late tonight. Good video watching during skierg training.

True that. Tons of xc in EuroSport right now. (I am located in Poland btw)

I was thinking about something more "first person" - like GoPro footage or something similar. I think i saw rowing videos shot like this...

Very good idea!

Concept2 needs to develop a "Smart Ski Erg" that would adjust the resistance to climbs on a particular course, just like my 2010 vintage Tacx bike trainer did, and many newer models do (e.g., Zwift).

One could imagine buying DVDs or downloading various World Cup and Olympic race courses to have at.

Yes, ski zwift with multiplayer would be great.
Not sure if the user base is big enough though...

I would even buy some gizmo that would strap to my ergs and change the resistance in pseudo-smart way :)
Some simple mech. device to move the damper...

Unfortunately I very much doubt that any of this will happen :)
If some of you guys have this luxury and live in the area with good skiing options, maybe you could record some footage for us?:)

FYI, a new version of iOS PainSled with Zwift support is in the App Store. Give it a try with your Ski Ergs and let me know what you think! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/painsled/id1069679171
