SkiErg Model 1 ... Troubleshooting Low Drag Factor

I am picked up a sick SkiErg and am trying to revive it ... it had been sitting with the flywheel cover off and NO handle cord for months.
I installed the handle cord, replaced the shock cord, cleaned up the flywheel, put the flywheel cover and the mesh outlet perf back together.

when i test the drag factor, get some weird results:
1. Damper Setting = 10; Drag Factor 45
2. Flywheel Cover removed; Drag Factor = 67

i have tested this with multiple SkiErg PM3 Performance Monitors with the same results.

Any ideas or thoughts would be welcome

recheck your assembly- you might be spinning the flywheel backwards. It should rotate counterclockwise as you face it from the user position.......C2JonW

recheck your assembly procedure-

you have the drive spool assembly #2750 on the axle backwards, so you may also need to rewind the cords.

thanks!

i disassembled and reversed the drive spool all seems better. the flywheel is spinning counter-clockwise and the drag factor is up to 134, more importantly the stroke feels "right" now.
