Hi all, I’m after a bit of advice please. I’m looking to buy a SkiErg and put it in my garage but the height of the erg is only a fraction lower than the height of the garage. Has anyone got one who has dealt with similar space available? I’m confident it will fit but there’s not a lot of room to spare! Can anyone advise from experience whether it’s a good idea as it will be so tight?!
Thanks all

Re: SkiErg for garage
What is the height of your ceiling?
Standard ceiling height is 8 feet, which is plenty of room for the Skierg.
My Skierg is fine in the garage on the wall. I've also had it on the wall in a different garage.
In both cases, due to concrete lips at floor level, I first put 2x4 extensions on the wall, then put the Skierg on those.

Re: SkiErg for garage
Thanks for the reply. The brick wall on my garage only goes up to just above the height of the ski, then there’s the wooden beams and then the roof. My garage isn’t standard size for some reason! I thought about getting it with the stand as it looks like the wall attachment actually sits higher than the top of the machine and I won’t have anything to fix it to.

Re: SkiErg for garage
Maybe you could run 2x4's from the beams to the top of the Skierg.
If so, the bottom would also need attachment points. The top ones are the most important.

I’m sure it will fit with the stand, there’s just not much extra height! I wanted to figure out a way without the stand as it’s so expensive. Your idea is good but I’m not sure how to fix it to the ground!johnlvs2run wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2019, 1:26 pmMaybe you could run 2x4's from the beams to the top of the Skierg.

Your hands never go above the pulleys unless you're really tall, even then I don't think it would be an issue.DanielB wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2019, 11:17 amHi all, I’m after a bit of advice please. These two videos, the first one installing a hammock and the second with more details, might give you some ideas.
