Stand Up Paddling (SUP)
Stand Up Paddling (SUP)
Has anyone been using the SkiErg for stand up paddleboard training? I started using the machine a few weeks ago so I could specifically target the muscles used when I'm not able to get out on the water. If anyone else is doing the same I'd enjoy hearing from you and knowing about your experiences. Thanks!

I'm not aware of an adaptor for the skierg; however, there is one for the C2 Rowing Ergometer: http://www.paddlesporttraining.com/stan ... dleboards/

The skierg is a great machine but does not work with an SUP adapter that I'm aware of. The paddle adapter available for the concept2 rower works quite well for paddling and SUP training. Even with the balance rocker, the skierg seems to engage leg muscles for me better than the SUP adapter. While it's good to have and compare them, would choose the skierg between the two if I had to make a choice. It's also possible to use the balance rocker with the skierg but seems to contribute to a less powerful pull / force curve vs no balance board. I am on the water a fair amount once things warm enough and the indoor training seems to transfer over and help on (or occasionally inSrfnff wrote:Has anyone been using the SkiErg for stand up paddleboard training? Yeah those work pretty good. A buddy of mine had one and I got to use it a few times. I think it's pretty good for a warm up before working out as well.dcpattie wrote: ↑February 28th, 2017, 12:36 pmI'm not aware of an adaptor for the skierg; however, there is one for the C2 Rowing Ergometer: https://paddleboardsurf.com/
