There have been a few posts over the years from people who both climb and row, and I was wondering how you more experienced people are combining the two. I've been climbing not quite four years, at about an intermediate level (in the 5.10abcd range indoors with some longer multipitch outdoors). My own workouts prior to getting the rower have been three times weekly climbing (top rope and lead, a small amount of bouldering), once or twice strength training (mostly antagonist muscles). Now that it's colder I've substituted moderate to hard intervals on my elliptical for outdoor walking/hiking, roughly four times a week, 45 minutes or so. My thought going in is to swap out some elliptical time for 2-3 days of rowing, working up to longer sessions from the 10 minute warmups I'd been doing on climbing days.
