Vortex Edge Repair

Post by bw1099 » September 26th, 2014, 9:26 pm

After about 10 years of use, I noticed that the Vortex Edges on my blades are beginning to come loose. What it the best way to repair them?

Vortex edges have come a long way since they were first introduced 10+ years ago. The current design is a four-sided "cap" that is glued onto the blade and is less prone to peeling away from the surface over time. The Blade Repair Instruction Booklet on the C2 website (http://www.concept2.com/service/oars/oa ... schematics) includes instructions on replacement (Section 6). Please give us a call (800-245-5676) and we can get you the vortex edges and urethane glue you need for repair. Alternatively, if you'll be at the Head of the Oklahoma, Head of the Charles, or Head of the Hooch this fall, bring your oars to the Concept2 Regatta Service trailer and we'd be happy do it for you (free of charge).
