Just got my Model D with PM3 and Polar HR transmitter. SWEET!

I need feedback from those of you who have used RowPro for an extended period. I know there is a free trial but anything new seems great. Over time have you found RowPro to be more effective than say Xeno Muller videos or kick ass music for training??

I haven't used any of Xeno's CDs, but RowPro on a big monitor with some great music playing generally has me rowing faster times than when I don't use it (I have over 800 rows logged through RowPro).

The new version is also much more aesthetically pleasing (it has "live water" which looks more real than the previous version), and it's nice to be able to upload rows to my logbook with a couple of clicks, and you can't beat the way RowPro breaks down your row as far as minute data is concerned- I don't use the online racing or training features much, but that's because my location (Thailand) puts me out of prime time due to my time zone.

You can't beat it for $100.

Row Pro is awesome, I've been training online (training/racing with other people) for 3 years, logged over 10m meters, and I lay claim to being the "World Online Wooden Spoon Champion" :D :D
(A tongue in cheek label hung on me by one of the gorilla's I train with for coming in last all the time)

RP is the only reason I continue in this sport, I would have gotten bored of it a long time ago otherwise.

hope to see ya online!

Rowpro is well worth the money. Although be prepared for the "RowPro factor" where you go faster than you intended as other people are rowing alongside (I often have a plan for an easy session and find myself going 5 seconds faster per 500m than intended!).

As said by previous posters, the really good part of RP is the online 'racing' feature. While there are some sessions where people really race, more often it is just a good way to find some people to train with. Some will be slower, some faster, but all understand how hard it is to keep coming back to a machine in the basement (or garage or ....)and sweating buckets onto the floor.

If you can find a regular training group (there are a number), at a time that works for you, even better.

Cheers. Patrick.

I've been using Rowpro for 2 years. Definitely worth the money IMHO. Turns the erg into an online video game that makes you fit - very addictive. Hope to see you out there.
