I always think about this, i have ambitions on the water as well as erging but the erg scores are just so easy to qauntify.

Was just interested to see where people are aiming for as a lifetime best, i guess a lot of things influence it like, how old you are currently and what times you are getting now...

age23
My current 2k - 6:38 (LW)
Lifetime goal - as close to 6:10 as possible (LW or HW)
Current 30 min - 8124m (77kg)
Lifetime goal - 8500m (LW) properly ambitious!

What about the 16K hour? 16500 hour? 17K hour?
How about HM and FM targets? Or are you not mad enough for that?

The 100K LW 20-29yr old recod could be up for grabs if you're entirely crazy.

NOTE: I'm discussing your goals. I've already got mine (SUB7 2K and FM under 3hrs).

haha, well i dont really do those distances that much to be honest, i have to do things that are generally good for my rowing (so basically most things geared towards 2k's).
Ive done a few 1hrs, but none at intensity, 16k hours definetely acheiveable though, 15.3k or something at the moment.

I think the longest continual row is easier to get than the 100k! And yes i am entirely crazy!

Nice one on the goal acheivements, but surely now you have to set even greater goals???

I'm old (twice your age), short and lazy. I've still got to get under and hour for a 25 mile cycling TT - that's my #1 goal. (And because I'm 100% crazy I'm rowing a 5K race next Saturday and riding a hundred mile TT next Sunday.)

well being pretty new to this and also ancient. I started out last year thinking I would like to break 20:00 for the 5K, 7:00 for the 2k, and 40:00 for the 10k....well as I started to improve the 5k and 10K times were not that hard to break and the 2K time of under 7 seems that it will be quite a bit harder (I know maybe impossible :D since I now know a lot more about times). I really have pulled my best 5k and 10k times during a standard workout while the 2k times were obtained with planned rowing times and a concentrated effort and pace strategy. Doing more that a 10k still seems like quite a challenge. So my revised goals are a sub 7 2k, a sub 19 5k, and a sub 39 10k

I'm 19 and I row competitively in college. My goal for next year is to break our boathouse record 2k time of 6:14. My PR in January was 6:29 but I could probably beat that now.

My overall goal for collegiate rowing (3 years of eligibility left) is to go sub 6:00 for a 2k.

Pretty much only working on PB's for the current season here. If your 23 then you have years of rowing left to acheive a lifetime PB, but I have been told that you need to do your best before your 45 or essentially it's all downhill from there so I have got to get cracking !

Currently I'm like Ranger and not "Fully Trained" as yet !

To compete and finish in the 2015 Beach Sprints.

And, hopefully, to be able to get on and off the machine without assistance.

For the next season I'd like to break 6:45, ideally get a 6:40. Longer term I'd love to break 6:30. As for 5k, my goal this season is to break 18:00.
