Working out with a sore knee
I have a minor knee injury but I want to give it at least a few days without any really stressful activity so that I won't aggravate it. But, I don't want to be away from my erg--are there any solid upper-body only workouts that I could do on my concept 2? I do have some sliders so I could do one leg rowing as well. Thanks for any help you all can offer.
In September '08 I ruptured the quadriceps tendon in my left leg, so I was off rowing for about 3 months. As I got back into it, I was very gentle with my knee.
You can row just with your arms, keeping your legs still. Or, as you mentioned, one leg rowing. You can also try to go 'strapless'. That is, keep your feet out of the straps.
As my injury healed, I was able to get back into it. And I'm sure you will as well.
