1,371m 5:00.0 1:49.4
1,368m 5:00.0 1:49.7
1,365m 5:00.0 1:49.9
1,356m 5:00.0 1:50.6
1,359m 5:00.0 1:50.4

Done at 28spm with 5 mins rest in between.

Assuming i did a 2k sometime this week, what do you think my split would be?

You should easily be able to hold a 1:49 split for that extra 2 and a bit minutes. So your 2K will come out something a bit better than your PB.

It depends how much you were holding back on those five min intervals.

I think you could pull 3-4 seconds off your average pace for a 2k PB. My guess is based on personal experience with my 5 x 1,500 pace vs. my 2k PB. I'd try a 4 x 1k to get a better estimate of what your 2k PB will be.

Of course, there's no substitution for just going out and doing a 2k, but it looks like you're close to the sub-7 mental barrier. There's also no substitution for training, so don't feel the need to log a sub-7 2k PB right now when another 3-6 weeks of training could get you there.

I'd guess you could do a 1:47 2K.

My best 5x1500 (with 1125 m active recovery at 2:32 / 500 m in between) is 1:51.3 / 500 m. Two days before that 5x1500, I pulled a 8x500 (with 500 m active recovery in between) at 1:42.0 / 500 m. My 8x500 time suggests I would've been able to go sub 7 (maybe 6:56) that week. Sadly, I didn't do a 2K time trial any time around then, so I'll never know. My two cents' worth.
