What stroke rate should I row at?

Post by strez » April 19th, 2008, 9:27 am

I'm getting back into erging after about a ten-year hiatus, mostly for weight loss and basic fitness. I'm doing long slow pieces (30 minutes to 60 minutes) to build up my base. I'm keeping the damper at 6. What stroke rate do you all recommend? I'm currently doing 22 to 23 which feels comfortable. Is this ok? Thanks for all the hlep; this is a great advice forum. (Also, is 6 a proper damper setting for these workouts?)
