HI Im 14 and 2/3 and I started rowing on a C2 in November last year. I used to swim competitively before that. I'm just wondering if rowing will help or not effect or stunt my growth. Im 5"10, row 5 KM 3-4 days a week and run 20-40 mins 3-4 times a week.

Thanks

Exercise does not stunt growth. While the following articles is regards to weight lifting, it equally applies to other exercise: http://www.teenbodybuilding.com/derek42.htm

It is unfortunate that the "exercise stunts growth" myth is so widely believed when the major health issue facing us is obesity.

You need to train very much more to adversely impact health.
What you are doing is very good for you!

It won't stunt your growth - I've been rowing since I was fourteen am already taller than anyone in my family - just under 6' and am sixteen... Hoping to grow another inch or two - for rowing of course :P
