Im a freshman in high school and i just got done pulling a 2k at 6:38 does anybody have any idea, what i may be able to pull junior or senior year? I weight 175 pounds im 6'2", last year i was in eights grade and it was my novice year and i dropped a minute from a 7:44 to a 6:44 and so far this year i have dropped 6 seconds and we are halfway through the season. If anybody has any idea what i may be able to pull later on it would be greatly apprececiated, also any advice would be great too.

Thank you

well, at your age you should be able to improve for a little while but you have to understand that you cant get a personal best every time. you have to learn to brush it off and try again in a few weeks. senior year i predict (if you gain good muscle and continue training weekly/daily) then you could be around 6:20 or less. That would be astounding. it would be nice if you could continue posting on here to report your progress, that time is rediculosly fast. even for your hight and weight. its not like your some 6'6" 250lbs kid thats just pulling with his weight. i think you got some real talent. are you expected to grow anymore....if so....AWESOME. haha. that time is sweet. good job.

Row at C.R.A.S.H-B next year in Boston. its a great experience and you would probably come in top 15 or even 10 for your age group. the announces would love you too. i bet you could make history.

right now my team is focusing on interval training, we try to do 6 500 meter peices 4 splits below our 2k split and then 4 1000 meter pieces at our 2k split, these workouts are tought but theyre not really gut busting, so i try and fit an hour row every week or so keeping at a 2:00 or below split, to try and get my cardiovascular system up, but we do a lot of interval training on the water and on the erg and that has been a factor to my better 2k time.
