Hi,
I managed to strain my right hamstring ligaments playing football the Sunday before last. I didn't realise this at first, thinking I was just stiff after playing 90mins without having played contact sport for a few weeks (foolish I know!).
Anyway, I had a 2hr outing straight after the match and did a few 5k and 2k ergs in the week without feeling any discomfort. It became apparant that I'd done something to my hamstrings by the middle of the week when I couldn't even touch my right ankle. I'm not able to jog at all either atm.
Since Tuesday I've been resting it and saw the physio today and have been given some simple stretches to do daily. I've got a race on the 23rd and feel I can't really afford to take much more of a break from training. Since rowing causes me no discomfort (nor does cycling) is it OK for me to continue with training in your opinions? The physio said it was but I suppose I'd just like to hear anyone elses experiences.
Thanks in advance
