PB vs typical workout

Post by bw1099 » November 12th, 2006, 9:54 pm

How should someone's 2000m time for a typical workout on a typical day compare with their personal best time?

My PB is 7:30 (from last year). I'm sure I could come close to that this year with some concentrated effort, but I've been focused on longer workouts. My typical times so far this year are 8:20 to 9:00 on days when I do several 2000m pieces in a single workout.

According to the Interactive, UT1 and 2 would be at fastest 2:05 and 2:10, if your last test was 7:32. So you are spot on.
AT would be a bit harder, say 1:59 fastest; typical AT wos range from 2x7' to 3x12'.

It took me a while to find the intertactive page on the UK site, which explains what UT1, UT2 , AT etc mean. It helps a lot. Thanks.
