Marathon training

Hi
Looking at training for a marathon row. Anybody got any advice on training for a marathon?

Others are probably more equipped to answer this but when I first decided to do a FM I just took the path of gradually building up to it. I had already been rowing for a while so it also depends on how much experience you have on the rower. I remember doing 20K and a week later a 25k, then 30K. ....

If your goal is to just complete it as opposed to hitting a certain time it's all about finding a comfortable pace and for a FM I like to take a a drink (without stopping) every 5K and eat a chunk of banana every 10K. I believe there are some specific training plans available that others will share but in general it's about building up.
56 yo, 6'3" 205# PBs (all since turning 50):
1 min - 376m, 500m - 1:21.3, 1K - 2:57.2, 4 min - 1305m, 2K - 6:27.8, 5K - 17:23, 30 min - 8444m, 10K - 35:54, 60 min - 16110, HM - 1:19:19, FM - 2:45:41

I'm also thinking about trying a marathon distance. Haven't done longer than a half-marathon previously, after an injury threw off my previous conditioning.

The suggestions here seemed like good enough guidance: https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/ ... hon-rowing
