YouTube link removed
Its not from Dark horse or Trainingtall, the 2 most popular channels I think, and its not even for the C2. I found it just browsing youtube as I've been watching a lot of rowing videos lately.
I'm no expert but this seems correct and its short and to the point. Its also quite old so it doesn't have any of the modern styling/promotion things common today, which is a good thing.
Thoughts?
this seems like a good technique video?

Overall a good video as far as what he is saying but the guy rowing over-compresses at the catch.ecrow wrote: ↑August 31st, 2023, 5:42 amYouTube link removed

At the catch, his shins should be vertical, straight up and down. He keeps traveling forward a bit beyond that, and so his knees end up a little closer to the front end of the machine than is ideal. This means he's starting each stroke in a slightly less powerful position.ecrow wrote: ↑August 31st, 2023, 6:36 pmwhat does that mean, he's leaning forward too much?KeithT wrote: ↑August 31st, 2023, 2:47 pmOverall a good video as far as what he is saying but the guy rowing over-compresses at the catch.ecrow wrote: ↑August 31st, 2023, 5:42 amYouTube link removed

His recovery also isn't quite sequential; my coach would call me on breaking at the knees this early. (I have recently made public sprint footage where my recovery sequencing is horrendous, that's not my normal stroke.)
But overall, he hits on the biggest things, and I think the examples of what not to do are really helpful as well. And I agree that I appreciate the lack of gimmicks.

I've removed the link to the non-Concept2 rowing machine from here.
